folded elephants to real elephants in Phuket Thailand

We felt a little spoiled as we arrived at the hotel and they put fresh flowers over our shoulders, handed us a cool glass of lemonade and a cold washcloth to freshen up.

We were all smiles from the start.

A towel folded elephant greeted us in our room. They had classes on towel folding and Katie was determined to learn how to do it, but alas, we never got that far from the pool.

This is the view from the hotel lobby...the reflecting pool....onto the Andaman Sea.

A closer look at the Andaman Sea

This gave new meaning to the word 'pool-side bar'.

Fish Creek Falls in Steamboat Springs Colorado used to be my favorite spot....this pool in Phuket looking over the Sea has come close to taking over that favorite place.

And here is the real elephant that we got to ride. I never dreamed I would be riding and elephant in Thailand! What an adventure.
