I have been having issues with my internet connection which has caused a bit of stress as of late, but for now I am back online and am happy to be connected to the world again. It's a little frightening how much we rely on our interent connection working. I am soooooooo glad to have it back.
This is my grocery store...Hock Choon. It may not look like much, but it is chock full of lovely things that look familiar....bread, butter, milk, Honey Bunches of Oats....All the expats shop here. The exciting thing about this picture is that I drove here----all by myself---something I thought I would never do here as they drive on the left hand side of the road. It's starting to feel natural. I love it when I do things I thought I could never do.

Here, we are eating some delicious Malaysian 'barbeque on a stick'. Jenny and Han wanted to take us to their favorite 'hawker' stand so we met them after work last week and drove awhile before we got to this place. There are these kinds of places all over, but they wanted to introduce this particular place to us.

I am glad they insisted on this particular place because it is some of the most delicious food I have had. It is on our list to take visitors to eat.

The ladies in our building get together for coffee once a month and this month I offerred to host the group. I didn't get a very good picture of the ladies, but wanted to share the diversity among them. There are two from Russia, two from China, one from Australia, two from England, and 3 of us from the USA. I really enjoy meeting people from all over and am getting quite comfortable being outside my comfort zone in this way.

Carl served a mission in Korea, so when the missionaries started teaching these two Korean college students who are here on an internship, they asked if they could do some of the discussions at our home, which we were glad to do. We quickly became attached to these two captivating kids. They speak English very well and are very well educated and were so receptive to the things the missionaries were teaching.

They asked Carl to baptize them. What a beautiful experience.
