a funeral

My mother's sister Norma passed away last week. She died on her 95th birthday just after her children had been with her for the day.

I feel blessed that I was able to attend the funeral in Panguitch with my mom. Mom is 18 years younger than her sister. They were such fun to be around when they were together because they loved to laugh and to make others laugh.

During the week-end I was able to get acquainted with cousins I hardly knew. Here I am at my Mom's home where Ken is showing us a card trick. Ken is one of Norma's sons who I barely knew growing up but after this week-end it feels like we are old friends.
Here are a few of Norma's grandchildren. She has 42 grandchildren, 113 great grand children and 22 great-great grandchildren.

Here are some more of my cousins. We have formed some precious friendships through the years and it was such fun to see them again.

I got a late start heading home on Sunday and it was dark when I got to Salt Lake, but when I saw this view of the Capitol building I was rather glad I was there at just that time.
