Bangkok sights

Only three days in Bangkok, but oh so many sights to see. Here is a sampling of our visit.

Roof top view of the city.

Country sights.

City sights....traffic.

Floating market....they make whole meals right on the boat and you order as you walk along.

Google says you must see at least three of the temples/palaces/wats while in Bangkok. Here we are at Wat Arun.
...another view....

And here is the Grand Palace. It's impossible to get the feel of the opulence and majesty of this place. I could post 100 pictures (which we have) and maybe one could get a little better idea...
This is another part of the Grand Palace...taken about the time that my camera was stolen. There are signs everywhere saying to watch for pickpockets....we were all sharing my camera so I had it in an open pocket of my backpack so everyone could grab the camera when they saw a good shot. Then someone reached in to get it and it wasn't there. Bummer. Luckily Carl had his camera and took his own pictures throughout the day so all was not lost.

This is the Temple of Wat Pho....famous for the world's largest reclining Buddha...one of those "don't miss' sights.

Here is his foot....just had to get this as my 'foot' shot for the trip.

Great pictures! At least it wasn't a monkey that stole your camera!
