The Christmas holidays are now a memory and I am back to the heat and beauty of Kuala Lumpur.

My travels took me through an airport I have not been to before....Incheon Airport....which is the Seoul Korea airport. I had to spend a whole day there, so we got well acquainted. I learned something new about International airports--for a fee you can relax in a special lounge. It really helps.

This week is Chinese New Year. One of the 3 major groups that occupy Malaysia are the Chinese, so this holiday is quite an event here. The actual New Year Day is Friday, but they celebrate the whole week. In preparation for the holiday, two of the Chinese ladies that live in our high-rise prepared a wonderful feast and invited the ladies (and John, a stay-at-home husband who is part of the ladies) to join in making the dumplings.

The most fascinating part is learning where all the ladies are from. At this lunch we had someone from Russia, Scotland, England, Korea, Lebanon, China, and a few of us from the USA. Someone commented, "Who needs the UN when we have our own right here and we all get along just fine."
Notice the blond girl in the back in a black shirt (kitchen pic)....she was a teacher at Golbow about three years after we left....what are the odds?!

This is the feast that was prepared for us by Delia and Sally, our lovely Chinese friends in Malaysia.
