Walking....walking....walking. Oh the places we saw and the people we met....

Here is our new friend Jenny taking us to our first Malaysian restaurant. It was quite an experience for someone who is as picky as I am about food. I did try several things and can now say I have eaten authentic Malaysian cuisine. Thank you Jenny.

Here we are in Little India with Britt bartering for some beautiful fabric...
....and me trying to stay cool.

One day I just had to take Britt to see the beautiful Istana Budaya theater because I love the way it looks.

When we went inside we found that there was a Malaysian play showing so we got tickets. We were told there would be English translation on the monitor. The play was a comedy and most of the translation was: "this part is ad lib and is different every evening so we cannot translate."
We missed out on lots of fun we could tell as the audience laughed and laughed.

At least we got this cute picture of Britt and the four guys.

One day we went to see Carl at his office in Tower # 2. You can see the ConocoPhillips sign in the background. We got the secretary to step in the picture with us.

Making sure he really does work there

Here we are reading into a tape recorder for a group of students who needed our help for an assignment. I think they were trying to learn the differences between British, Australian, Canadian and American English. They just stopped us in the subway and asked for our help.
Every day is an adventure when you live in a foreign land. I feel incredibly enriched as I am privileged to meet and learn about other people, places and things. I still feel like a fish out of water, but I am trying so hard to seize the moment and enjoy the experience.
