moving to Kuala Lumpur

My children have asked me to start this blog for quite some time. This move to KL Malaysia has finally prompted me to take the leap. I have been surprised at the road my life has taken and the adventures put in front of me and this will be one small way of sharing it with family and friends.

We have been in KL for 2 days now. Yesterday Carl got aquainted with work at the 'twin towers' also known as the Petronas Towers. We have had quite a discussion over the pronunciation of Petronas....I say it with the accent on the 'tro' and Carl with the accent on the 'nas'. We were so anxious to see which one of us is correct...only to find out that we are both right....we hear it said both ways.

We are living at the Ascott while we get our feet on the ground. We are in a nice two bedroom apartement and are within walking distance of anything we could want. It really does feel like New York City.

Today we spent an intense day of house (apartment) hunting. We have decided to live right down town....called KLCC....or Kuala Lumpur City Center. We were getting a little nervous by noon because nothing jumped out at us. Then we found it---the Avare!!!! The view is breathtaking and the apartment is like the movies. Now if I can just figure out how to place the furniture in such a unique floor plan. Finding this place will help me enjoy the KL adventure even more.

I hope I can keep these blogs interesting enough to make it worth your time to stop by once in awhile. I look forward to seeing where the days take me and I hope to share some of the new discoveries.

Did you guys take the picture of the towers at night? Amazing. I'm so thrilled you found a place you will love. What is the floor plan?
